Whether you realise it or not, you have a brand on LinkedIn and other social media platforms. A lot of my friends tell me that they have been on LinkedIn for a long time but haven’t really paid attention to it. I’m.one of those people. As a professional platform, LinkedIn is your gateway to professional contacts. But then again all of the social media landscape is becoming about brand awareness and reputation management. What you communicate on social media is what people know about you. They don’t know about all the positive things and skills that you don’t post.
If you have skills perhaps this is the time to reconsider your social media strategy as part of brand awareness. The CV is no longer enough to impress prospective business contacts. Anyone can write an impressive CV so it is now you communicate to the world through social media which is becoming more and more important.
